When a promising open model comes out, we try it on the Box’s own hardware. If it earns a place, it appears in your Model Store and you download it with one click. That’s how Qwen 3.8 reached owners in August 2026, and it can read images.
Better settings, found for you.
Speed on local AI comes from settings most people never touch. We test them per model on the Box itself, and when we find better ones, we send them as an update.
You decide when.
Every update is signed and checked before your Box accepts it. You choose when it installs, and if one fails, the Box returns to the version that worked.
And if you never update it again, it keeps working exactly as delivered, offline, with no subscription.

Return it in its original, fully working condition, with everything it came with. Normal use is fine. Only physical damage, missing parts or unauthorized modifications void a return.
How the refund works
We refund the purchase price less a 15% restocking-and-setup fee, within 10 business days of receiving the Box and checking it. You pay return shipping, and that cost isn’t refunded.
Your data
Back up and remove anything you want to keep before you send it. When it arrives, we wipe the Box. We don’t keep your data.
Every Box is configured, tuned and tested to order before it ships. That work is done either way, so the 15% fee applies to every return, whether or not it was opened or used.

How is this different from the cloud AI I use now?
It works from your home or office, not from a data center. There’s no usage meter, no monthly plan to change under you, and your conversations stay on the Box. It also runs open models, sized for this hardware, so it’s best at everyday work: writing, summarizing, answering from your documents, and routine tasks. Watch it in the demo above and judge whether that covers what you need.
Is it safe when it’s connected to the internet?
Nothing on the Box is open to the internet by default. Reaching it from outside your home only works once you set up Tailscale with your own account, and you can turn that off whenever you like. We can only reach it if you open a support session and give us the code.
Does my data actually stay on the Box?
Yes. Your prompts, files and conversations are stored on the Box and never pass through us. On its own, the Box sends one thing: a daily check for updates that includes only its version number, and you can switch that off. Anything else leaves only if you connect something that sends it, like Signal.
64 GB or 128 GB?
Memory can’t be added later, so choose for the work you expect. 64 GB runs our default models for up to two people or agents at once. 128 GB handles up to four at once and leaves room to grow. See models and speed.
What if Arx stops making updates?
Your Box keeps working. It doesn’t depend on us or on updates to run: it works offline, as delivered, with no subscription, for as long as you own it.
Do I need to be technical?
No. Setup is seven short steps from your phone or laptop: join the Box’s Wi-Fi, choose a password, connect it to your own Wi-Fi. For the first two weeks you can also book time with us to fit it around your work.
What if the hardware fails?
The hardware has a one-year warranty from delivery, for the original buyer. Contact us, not the parts maker: we repair or replace the faulty part or unit and cover reasonable shipping.
Can I buy one outside the US?
Not yet. We sell and ship to buyers in the United States only.
Is it encrypted?
Your data is protected by your password and the Box’s file permissions, not by disk encryption. Keep it somewhere you trust, as you would any computer.
